Very little. The nearest beach is less than a minute's walk away. Just step outside the hotel and you're on the beach, not to mention that we have a platform with direct access to the sea.
It is not essential. The beach is nearby and you can reach the centre or the port of Forio (1 km away) on foot. The walk is pleasant and completely flat, with the road running alongside Chiaia beach and the port of Forio.
You can get there by public transport or book a shuttle. The airport is connected to the ports of embarkation for Ischia by the Alibus service, while from the central station you can take the Metro (Municipio stop). Once you arrive at the port, take the first hydrofoil or ferry to Ischia (timetable). There are three ports in Ischia: Ischia Porto, Casamicciola and Forio. Forio is the closest to our hotel. Once you arrive on the island, take the bus (Line 1 or CS if you arrive at the port of Ischia or Casamicciola, CD or Line 1 if you arrive at Forio). Get off at the San Francesco stop and walk to our hotel from there.
Of course, and this is the method we recommend for reaching us. We can book a transfer from Naples station or Capodichino airport. The cost is €45 per person (one way, minimum 2 people) and includes the ferry ticket and luggage. To book, simply let us know your arrival time and flight/train number.
The ports of embarkation for cars and motorcycles are Calata di Massa and Pozzuoli. We recommend the port of Pozzuoli, as there are more departures and the crossing time is shorter. Coming from the motorway, Pozzuoli can be reached via the Tangenziale ring road. Ferry timetables can be found at this link. You will disembark at Ischia Porto or Casamicciola. In both cases, you will need to follow the provincial road towards Forio. Here is the link with the route to follow that will guide you to our hotel. Public parking is free and is right outside our hotel.
Breakfast is included in all our rates.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:30. We serve a typical continental breakfast with sweet and savoury dishes accompanied by: milk, coffee, tea, juices, jams, chocolate spread, butter, fresh cakes, croissants, brioche, bread, sandwiches, cold cuts, cheeses and products for food intolerances.
We have a restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Our talented chef (whom we hold dear) serves excellent dishes from the typical Mediterranean cuisine and the island of Ischia. Fish and local products are a must, such as Coniglio all'ischitana (Ischia-style rabbit), accompanied by excellent wines produced on the island by Cantine Mazzella (winner of the best white wine in Italy award at Vinitaly 2017) and Vini D'Ambra (awarded in 2016 by the Italian Sommelier Association).
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
In addition to two mineral pools (one indoor and one outdoor) with water at a temperature of 36°C and a freshwater pool, the spa has a Turkish bath, cervical showers and hydromassage, and offers numerous types of treatments to restore the body's well-being, as well as massages.
